Final Logo Design

This is my final design for my logo project. As you can see I took a very classy and simplistic approach. I think it is tasteful and represents the company just the way I intended it to be.

Sketches of Logos for Icing-Cupcake Shop and Bakery

These are random sketches that I put together while trying to think of the best way to represent this company. How could I create the logo in a way that says something about the Cupcake Shop and Bakery.

Calligram Assignment

This project was very difficult for me because I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to use the pen tools very well. It took me and other friends to figure it out, and it took about 3 other calligrams that looked terrible until I finally got the hang of it and made this one.

Analyzing Company Logos

This logo does a very good job of capturing the company's image. The ornate design of the siren from Greek Mythology gives those who see it something to remember and therefore does its' job very well.
The Versace logo is also very ornate. Possibly more ornate than the Starbucks logo. I believe it represents the brand very well, as the brand is targeted towards a more affluent customer base. This logo can be seen on numerous items in their clothing collection, including sunglasses and dresses. The line pattern located around the circle is also used as an alternative logo to the famous medusa. My only complain in their design is the fact that the company does use two different logos for many different pieces.
This logo is very simple and to the point, yet is is very chic. It uses the designer's initials to create a sort of emblem that is well recognized around the world today. There are no words or colors in the logo, but at the same time is still quite memorable.
Sony often times uses merely its name as a logo. No design and no iconic symbols. I think it is very stale and while, obviously, it has been working for the company, involves no thought process. I am very disappointed with this idea, as I believe that a company that is not innovative enough to design a decent logo, isn't innovative enough for me to invest in.

This logo utilizes the colors red and yellow which have been scientifically proven to make people hungry. Secondly, the style of the logo is very old-fasion. The logo uses a handful of words as well to communicate the content of the restaurant. I think there is a little too much going on, but if anything it does a good job of differentiating itself from other competitors.
